Cooperation Agreement on the Monitoring of cannabis Import and Export Procedures for Medical and Industrial Purposes

The General Director of the National Agency for CannabisControl, Ms. Anila Alliu, and the General Director of Customs, Mr. Besmir Beja, signed a Cooperation Agreement aimed at strengthening inter-institutional coordination in the control and monitoring of import and export procedures for cannabisImport and Export Procedures for Medical and Industrial Purposes

The Agreement establishes a framework for cooperation between the National Agency for CannabisControl and the Customs Administration for the exchange of information, coordination of activities, and implementation of control procedures, in accordance with the applicable legislation.

Under this Agreement, the National Agency for CannabisControl and the Customs Administration will cooperate in the verification of relevant documentation, the exchange of data, the identification and prevention of legal violations, as well as the development of joint inspections and activities

The cooperation also provides for the use of secure channels for information exchange, the development of joint risk management mechanisms, the organization of joint training activities, and the strengthening of institutional capacities.

The signing of this Agreement represents an important step toward strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, contributing to more effective controls, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, and establishing a secure, transparent, and traceable system for monitoring cannabisImport and Export Procedures for Medical and Industrial Purposes
