The Council of Ministers approved, on July 30, 2026, the decision “On the creation of the National Register of licensed and permitted entities for plant activity”. cannabis-it”.
The Register will be administered by the National Agency for CannabisControl in cooperation with the National Agency for the Information Society, and will contain information on licensing, permitting and authorization processes, as well as data on cultivation, processing, transport, export, traceability, controls, inspections and administrative measures.
In order to facilitate application procedures and data verification, the Register will interact with the marking and traceability system, as well as state databases, including the civil status register, the commercial register, the tax system and the customs system.
This interoperability will enable the exchange and synchronization of information among the responsible institutions, strengthening inter-institutional coordination and creating the conditions for faster, more accurate and up-to-date verifications.
The decision also defines the levels of user access, the responsibilities of institutions and licensed and permitted entities, the recording of actions in auditable logs, as well as measures for the protection of personal data and the preservation of confidentiality.
