Agjencia në bashkëpunim me ALBTrace, vijon punën për sistemin e gjurmueshmërisë së cannabis-it

The National Agency for Cannabis Control (AKKC) is continuing its work on the implementation of the electronic track-and-trace system for cannabis plants and their by-products, in accordance with the applicable legal and regulatory framework.

On 6 October 2026, the Agency held an online technical meeting with representatives of ALBTrace. The meeting focused on the system’s functionalities for tracking products throughout their entire lifecycle.

The system also provides functionalities to support regulatory control, supervision and inspection, as well as the monitoring of data related to licensed entities and operators active in the market.

The Agency and ALBTrace will continue working together to assess requirements and further adapt the system accordingly, while defining the next steps for its implementation and aiming to have the system prepared in a timely manner to support the licensing process.

The meeting represents an important step towards the implementation of a modern and integrated track-and-trace system, aimed at strengthening control and transparency throughout the cannabis supply chain for medical and industrial purposes, while supporting the prevention of any diversion from the legal market.
